A highly reactive form of oxygen, ozone is a remarkably powerful oxidizing and cleansing agent. It is activated oxygen, the most effective, fastest and safest means of cleaning, bleaching, disinfecting and deodorizing all types of textiles.

Ozone is created when air contacts with ultraviolet light or electricity, causing a dispersal of some of the oxygen (O2) molecules. The fractured molecules reassemble with other O2 molecules, resulting in the formation of ozone, known as O3.

IndustOzone Not to be confused with the upper atmosphere's ozone layer protecting the earth, ozone generated for industrial use is an extremely powerful oxidant that dissolves dirt and germs and then decomposes, reverting to O2.

Ozone formed by an electrical charge is an environmentally friendly gas with numerous applications. Among its current uses are sterilizing bottled drinking water, disinfecting swimming pools, eliminating odors in industrial plants, treating soil contamination, destroying bacteria in buildings, enhancing the efficiency of cooling towers, and improving the properties of wastewater.

IndustOzoneFor the commercial laundry industry IndustrOzone's generator breaks oxygen molecules in a carefully controlled process that sends an electrical discharge through a tube and grounds that charge to the cylinder housing the tube, creating a corona. Air, stripped of its nitrogen component, is then passed through the corona to reform the oxygen (O2) as ozone (O3).

Characterized by a refreshing smell reminiscent of the air following a thunderstorm, ozone is the proven alternative to traditional commercial washing. Capturing the diverse strengths and capabilities of O3 led to IndustrOzone Technologies' successful development of the world's most efficient, affordable, reliable ozone laundry systems.

What benefit does this have for the on-premise laundry operator?
Reduction in hot water usage, reduction (not elimination) of chemical consumption, water/sewer savings, labor savings from shorter wash cycles, reduced linen replacement, shorter drying times, improved textile softness, cleaner smelling linens and enhanced chemical reactions, top the list of benefits by utilizing ozone in your laundry.
